Madrasa Parent App in Bangladesh: the Sabaq Android App for Parents and Teachers

The Sabaq app is a free madrasa parent app for Bangladesh that shows a guardian their child’s attendance, fees and dues, exam results, hifz (Quran memorisation) progress and madrasa notices, and lets teachers mark attendance and enter daily records from their phone. It is on Google Play and as a direct APK download (about 83 MB). It works only with madrasas that use Sabaq; your madrasa gives you the login.

What does a parent see in the madrasa parent app?

After logging in, a guardian sees their child (or children, if more than one studies at the madrasa) and the information the madrasa has entered for them. Nothing is typed twice: what the office and the teachers record in Sabaq appears in the app.

Section What it shows
Attendance Present and absent days, including attendance taken on ZKTeco biometric devices
Fees and dues Fees paid, receipts, and the current amount due, so there is no surprise at month end
Results Exam marks and marksheets once the madrasa publishes them
Hifz progress Daily sabaq (new lesson), sabqi (recent revision) and amukhta (old revision) entries and the para (section of the Quran) reached
Notices Holidays, events, exam schedules and other announcements from the madrasa
Profile The student’s class, section, ID and guardian contact as recorded by the madrasa

For families of boarding students, and for relatives abroad who support a child’s education, this is usually the first time they can follow the child’s day without phoning the office.

What can teachers do in the app?

  • Mark class attendance from the phone, which then appears in the office system and in parents’ apps.
  • Enter daily hifz records (sabaq, sabqi, amukhta, para, remarks) for each student in their class.
  • See their class list with student details and guardian phone numbers.
  • Receive notices from the madrasa administration.

Marks entry, fee collection and accounts stay in the web system used by the office, where a keyboard and printer are available. The Bangla parent app feature page shows the screens.

How do I install and log in?

  1. Install the app from Google Play (search for Sabaq, package id com.sabaaq.sabaq_app) or download the direct APK from sabaaq.com if Google Play is not available on your phone.
  2. Ask your madrasa office for your login details. Sabaq does not issue parent or teacher logins directly; the madrasa creates them in its own account.
  3. Open the app, enter the details the madrasa gave you, and you will see your child’s record or your class.
  4. If something is missing or wrong in the app (a fee, a mark, an attendance day), the madrasa office corrects it in the system and the app updates.
The app is free for parents and teachers. It is included in every Sabaq plan, so the madrasa pays nothing extra for parents to use it.

Which phones does it work on?

The app is for Android phones. The direct APK is about 83 MB; the Google Play version downloads whatever your phone needs. It runs on ordinary mobile data. If you install from the APK, Android will ask you to allow installation from this source; that is normal for apps installed outside the Play Store. We keep both the Play Store listing and the APK current, and the madrasa office will tell you if an update is required.

Why does a madrasa parent app matter in Bangladesh?

Madrasa families are often spread out: the father working in another city or abroad, the child boarding at the madrasa, the mother at home. The office cannot phone every guardian every day, and a paper report card reaches home a few times a year. The app closes that gap with attendance, dues, results and hifz progress on the guardian’s own phone, in Bangla. It also reduces the queue at the office for fee questions, because the amount due is already visible. The features page shows where the app fits among the other modules, and the hifz page explains the daily hifz entries in more detail.

Madrasa not on Sabaq yet?

If you are a parent or teacher and would like your madrasa to have the app, ask the office to call us for a free demo. If you run a madrasa, message us directly.

App FAQ

Is the app free?
Yes. Parents and teachers pay nothing. The app is part of every Sabaq plan that the madrasa subscribes to.
I downloaded the app but cannot log in. What do I do?
Contact your madrasa office. Logins are created by the madrasa in its own Sabaq account, and only the office can give or reset them. Sabaq support helps the madrasa, not individual parents, with login problems.
Is there an iPhone version?
The app is currently available for Android only.
Can I see more than one child?
Yes, if they study at the same madrasa and the office has linked them to your guardian record.
Is the app in Bangla?
Yes. The app, like the rest of Sabaq, is in Bangla.
Where do I get the APK?
From sabaaq.com/sabaq.apk (about 83 MB). Use Google Play where it is available, as updates arrive automatically there.
